How much is the deductable of your collision coverage?

Assuming you are in the U.S.

If it costs $1000 to repair the damage and the deductable of your collision coverage is also $1000, your insurance will not pay you anything.

On the other hand, if it costs $1000 to repair the damage and the deductable of your collision coverage is $600, your insurance will pay you $400 but your insurance is likely to increase in the future.
