閑著也是閑著

 

Whose woods these are I think I know. 何人之林我駐足，我知
His house is in the village though;         他之屋宇在村中
He will not see me stopping here          不將知我曾駐足
To watch his woods fill up with snow.     望他之林覆雪中

My little horse must think it queer         小馬兒心思好生怪

To stop without a farmhouse near        為何遠停人煙外
Between the woods and frozen lake      在這深林冰河間

The darkest evening of the year.         最是暗黑之夜於今年

He gives his harness bells a shake         它是搖頭又晃鈴 
To ask if there is some mistake.           詢問可是來錯路
The only other sound’s the sweep         此時靜聽微聲掃
Of easy wind and downy flake.             輕風和那雪花落

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,   林中自有可人處
But I have promises to keep,               奈何身背諾言不可違

And miles to go before I sleep,             前有長路至晚安
