To be eligible for free Medicare A, you do need to have 40 points. Otherwise Part A monthly premium is over $300. However there is a Medicare Savings Program that will pay for the $300 monthly premium if the person is eligible. 紐約和新澤西很多中國老人都是通過此途徑拿到免費的 medicare A and B.
