I fully support your decision.  

As a mother, I would like to teach my boy to behave properly both in the public and at home.  However, this does not mean I can tolerate other people to use any means to harm him, phisically or mentailly.  Though "an eye to an eye" is not 100% correct, being slapped with no fighting back is not a proper reaction either.  Blah, blah, blah
