This has been discussed before. Here are my 2 cents.

It is OK to say a kid has whatever disabilities and how hard he/she has tried to overcome those problems to get successful. It is a big "NO" to mention anything related to mental health. Mental health is a major concern in college, and AOs will try their best to avoid this potential problem in their college. Do not take the risk at all!

Another comment: the topic on "hard working overcomes limitation/difficulty/troubles" etc is not a good choice for most kids. This may sound a good topic in our culture, but unless the trouble is big enough, it will not really move AOs; they have seen many many even worse situations. This topic is too "Chinese" (sorry for my words, as we were used to writing this kind of articles in China). l learned from an experienced counselor that this topic is very unattactive.  For top Universities, they are looking for genius; if you do not show the potential be a genius, you are less favored, unless you have something else that they are looking for.

Just my 2 cents.
