Less work for breakfast
On a weekday: toasted bagels with peanut butter, hard boiled eggs with a sprinkle of salt, and cold cereal.*
(With the time saved, kids can take a shower before going to school, very important as they grow older. (with emphasis))
Dinner: marinate some chicken legs (drum sticks) the night before. Oven 375 F for an hour, or 50 min if small. Saute some veggie (onion, pepper, zucchini, mushrooms, etc., with some 老幹媽). Cook some pasta (riganoti, or any other shape.) When almost done, move pasta to saute pan and mix with the veggies.
(The idea is do the protein separately from the carb and veggie, less cutting, save time. You can try pork chop, fish fillet, or steak.)
Learn to use a slow cooker.
