()Last Tuesday was Olivia’s field trip to Philadelphia zoo. It was drizzling that morning when we got to the daycare and I was surprised that they did not cancel the trip. Can not imagine what one feels like wondering in the zoo in the rain.

Luckily it was cleared up shortly and it was cloudy for the rest of the day.

When I picked the kids up that afternoon, I asked Olivia: “How was your trip to the zoo? Was it raining there?”

“It was all right, a lot of animals I wanted to see were not out. But you know what, mommy? It wasn’t raining in Philadelphia but it was raining here in Pennsylvania. Isn’t that funny?”

I remember reading similar jokes before about kids mixing up cities and states, just did not realize back then that one day my kid could make one too.

() When I came down stairs to prepare the lunch this past Sunday, I noticed that Evan was squatting down by the kitchen table. Had a pretty good idea what was going on, I still asked him: “Evan, what are you doing there, honey?”

To my surprise, he answered: “Mommy, I am going to pop an egg out.”

() This morning, while I was buckling Evan to his car seat, Olivia came into the car. She handed me her pink princess purse which was filled with coins, probably weighed a pound.

She said to me: “Mommy, today is May 23rd, the High School Musical DVD is out today. Here is the money I made doing the chores for daddy (they are really from her piggy bank). Could you take them to buy me the DVD during your lunch break, please?”

While I don’t even remember which day is which anymore, I am just amazed at how she stayed on top of this whole DVD thing. She literally has been counting the days for it.

And yes, considering the chores Olivia has done recently, daddy bought her the DVD on his way back from work this afternoon :).
