七絕·秋思 – 孟朝崗

 

殘蟬嘶斷入秋涼，蘭畹薌消續菊黃。

萬眾仰高空對月，幾人摘得桂花香。

 

Autumn Reflections by Meng Chaogang

 

In the chill of autumn fades the cicada’s cry,

Orchids phase out, chrysanthemums phase in to vie.

Though all gaze on the lunar osmanthus in awe,

I wonder its sweet scent how many could come by.
