 Hayley Westenra ，1987年4.10出生於紐西蘭基督城的一個歌唱世家。天賦清亮無瑕的絕美嗓音，又得到了高人歌劇首席女主角的欣賞和指導。

她的MTV,我最喜歡看的是live音樂會演出。一個清純如水的女子，踏著縹緲的天籟之音款款走來。聖潔寧靜。
此女隻應天上有，送歌下凡到人間。

她的柔姿，她的聲音，似乎在引導你，跟隨她前往一個超越人間煩惱心平氣和的去處。

2003, 15歲那年她的首張專輯- 《PURE》由DECCA公司向全球推薦，天使般純淨的嗓音透明如水，吸引了全球樂迷，Hayley 一躍成為國際歌星。 

2005年8月第二張專輯《Odyssey》問世。18歲的Hayley 演唱比以前更豐滿和圓潤。主題曲”Amazing Grace”席卷亞洲，

2008，Hayley Westenra的第三張專輯《Treasure》發行。這張專輯很個人化，收錄了一些古典金曲和愛爾蘭、毛利族民歌。這也是她第一次專輯裏包含她自己原創的曲目“Let Me Lie”與“Summer Rain”

Westenra was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and is of Dutch[3] and Irish[4] heritage. Her parents, Jill and Gerald Westenra, have two other children, Sophie and Isaac Westenra. The family has a history of music: Westenra's grandmother Shirley Ireland was a singer, and her grandfather was a pianist who also played the piano accordion.[5]

有兩點商榷：

Hayley沒有出聲於音樂世家，她的爸爸媽媽都是普通人，既不唱歌，也不跳舞。但很小的時候家裏就支持她和她妹妹去街上Busking。

世界著名的新西蘭高音女歌唱家Kiri Te Kanawa曾經拒絕和她同台演唱，因為Hayley的演唱是偽Classical。
