生活中

你見過任何景向

比每天傍晚

太陽

悠閑而從容地

漂向地平線 

還要奇妙

 

它漂向雲層或丘陵
或者是波濤起伏的大海
之後就不見了
之後又徐徐而行

它像一朵紅花

每天清晨
在世界的另一端

衝出黑暗

它帶著天國的顏料向上流動

它對你說，在一個初夏的早晨

在其完美的帝國距離
你有沒有感覺到什麽
比如瘋狂的愛
你是不是認為在任何地方，以任何語言 
一句話，都會為著這樣的快樂

而如波浪般翻滾

當太陽

伸出手來

這種快樂就填滿你

溫暖你

 

而當你兩手空空

站在那裏

或許你也會同它一樣

轉身離開這個世界

 

或者你也會

為著能量

為著物體

而發狂

The Sun

Have you ever seen
anything
in your life
more wonderful

than the way the sun,
every evening,
relaxed and easy,
floats toward the horizon

and into the clouds or the hills,
or the rumpled sea,
and is gone--
and how it slides again

out of the blackness,
every morning,
on the other side of the world,
like a red flower

streaming upward on its heavenly oils,
say, on a morning in early summer,
at its perfect imperial distance--
and have you ever felt for anything
such wild love--
do you think there is anywhere, in any language,
a word billowing enough
for the pleasure

that fills you,
as the sun
reaches out,
as it warms you

as you stand there,
empty-handed--
or have you too
turned from this world—

or have you too
gone crazy
for power,
for things?
