Place Memoir

                                                                                                                              19/27/2012

Usually when I think of my bed, I don't hold it as exceptional important to me. In fact, when I think of my bed, I despise it because it is greatly related to sleep: a necessity which I abhor. That is only until it is the morning. By dawn, my bed has transformed from a thing of nuisance to my only safe haven especially in winter. Talking about winter, there is one unforgettable moment that I will never forget, just maybe lose in my memory for a couple of years.

That day wasn't a different day from the dark days of winter. Though it happened to be quite a lot colder than usual. I was underneath my layer upon layers of blankets protected the great barrage of the pesky alarm clock. Though I wasn't completely invulnerable from the coldness that seeped itself into my house. I refused to get out of bed into the cold atmosphere to turn of my alarm clock. Half a minute later, my alarm went of once again. I used up half of my weary strength just to turn of darn alarm. By accident, I pressed the wrong button. Instead of “sleep”, I clicked “turn off”. It was about 6:30 when I turned of my alarm and my school bus (I was in 4th grade at the time) came at about 7:00. I am very a light sleeper so I woke up hearing the sound of an engine. Like you've probably guessed, I missed the bus. Boy oh boy did my mom yell at me. I'll leave the rest to your (hopefully) creative imagination.
