"religion" becomes political . . .and "enthusiasm" and "faith" of people have been skillfully manipulated by those greedy and powerful sitting high . . .

"Culture" is a neutral, common word, i.e. "chair," "kidney" etc. etc....
Every culture has its pros and cons .... the phrase "Cultural Clash" was coined by people who have no excuses for what has been going on between the U.S./West and the muslim world ....so, they "blame" it on "culture"....
There will be a great "cultural clash" between Chinese people and American right wingers if they invaded China for oil....and, millions of Chinese will become "terrorists"....

我在想兩把“椅子”如果不是因為某種意圖被有心人舉起（兩種不同 hearts 的衝突），如何能被砸得稀巴爛（“融合”）呢？那個外力需要有多強大？？:)))
律周，我也不是對你個人，我是對“文化衝突”這個概念很不能理解。。。我理解律周之所以這樣說，可見文化在他心中的地位。。。如果文化能發生衝突引發戰爭，可見文化的榮光。。。
“衝突”不是一個“現象。”
“現象”籠統地理解是“不以人的意誌為左右的，”如自然現象，生理現象等。
“衝突”在這裏是人為的。
人為的，就不好僅以“現象”概之。比如，我們不能說男人打老婆，打孩子是一個“現象”而已。因為“人類美好的存在”不取決於這樣的“現象”！！
"Cultural Clash"一說的來曆就是為了混淆黑白。

中國有句老話，“隻許當官的放火，不許老百姓點燈。”說白了，就是弱肉強食，橫行霸道。

無辜，無知的人們被他們的話哄住了，被他們的恐怖襲擊警報嚇住了，所以讓這蠢貨連任，勞民傷財，在人間做的孽越來越大！！
我們不能輕易相信類似“文化衝突”這樣看似“文明”“邏輯”的謬論。好比說日本法西斯當年侵華也是由於“文化衝突”一樣。
每一個民族都有自己的特色，那不能叫“衝突。”如果伊拉克沒有石油的話，數十萬的伊拉克老百姓和千百個年輕的美國士兵也不會白白死去。
不錯，薩達姆也曾政治迫害，消除異己，和中國“文革”時發生的悲劇沒多少區別，那麽，我們會支持一個超級強國在“文革”時繼續侵華嗎？
在美國，我們有幸能接觸到多種消息/知識，所以，我們沒有借口跟著強者身後起哄。

看上去像突然的偶然的個別的衝突，
看上去像一場懸殊的差別太大的衝突，
看上去像一場沒完沒了的衝突
到底最後誰是勝者？
我覺得好像還是一場文化的衝突，不過這種文化衝突摩擦了很久，已經失去了文化身上的那些五彩的殼。
