百囀千聲隨意移，山花紅紫樹高低。

始知鎖向金籠聽，不及林間自在啼。

(Song Thrush)

Now they chirr, now they chirrup, now they chirp at will,

Midst fair flowers, twixt tall and short trees on the hill,

I realise why the gold-caged thrushes cannot trill

Like those free ones in wild bushes with such a thrill.
