女兒走了，忙碌的一根弦終於鬆了下來。昨晚吃完飯，早早上了床，八點不到就睡了。半夜三點多醒來，再也無法入睡。
女兒在家的日子是快樂，也是忙碌的。想著她在家就這麽些天，做點好吃的給她，因此不停地買菜、做飯，想著她在家就這麽些天，又逢節假日，因此不停地開車兜風，把附近想走能走的地方又走了一遍。所以，這二十多天的日子(12/22-1/13), 因著變化，被感覺拉長成了兩個月多似的。
孩子回一趟家也是辛苦的。雖然那座城市離家隻有兩三個小時的飛機，然而從登機到到家，卻要化上整整六個小時--那是戴著雙層口罩基本不喝水的六小時，更何況來的時候乘的是早上的飛機，還得半夜起來趕飛機，穿越寒冷的黑夜。回去的飛機雖是下午兩點，可等飛機到達出機場，又是那裏的夜幕時分。
想起那些要跨越東西部回家的孩子，想起我們自己回國看父母，更是路漫漫。。。
為了想多陪陪她，我周三臨時請了一天假，又拉上在上班的某人，臨近中午時分開車去了一個小花園，一個十分別致的日本似花園，花園裏種著各式各樣奇花異草，還有品種繁多的茶花。

中飯後，兩人又去逛mall，走過一家家商店，試穿一件件衣服，最後隻買了一條短裙。回家時，天已黑，高峰期的高速公路上車輛繁忙。她開著車，上了高速道要merge，缺乏經驗的她不知如何"插隊"，緊張的我在一邊指揮著，那一刻恨不能自己親自上陣。可路，人生的路，一樣最後要讓她們自己走出來的。
最後一個周六(1/8/22)去了San Diego, 一個她好幾年沒去的地方。陽光，沙灘，海浪，海獅，海豚，還有她排了很長隊買到的taco, 一起留在了我們2022年開年的記憶裏。

If LA is a mecca for J, San Diego is a forgotten city. But it was made it up this time. We stopped by Giesel library in UCSD, for a picture of an iconic building designed by William Pereira, an American architect who also designed Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco. Our destination was of course beaches, for which San Diego is renown for. And it did not let us down. A stroll on Tory Pine beach and another more than one hour time on La Jolla beach relived our old memories. What appealed to J in particular were the seals and sea lions at La Jolla. Contrasted with the quiet seals lying flat on the sand at one side of beach were the noisy sea lions on the other, barking on the rocks fighting each other, as the dusk drew near. J took pictures and videos of them, replaying and sharing the moments with us at home.
