The show was held by a dance company which is a program of the local park district. It has had quite a good fame and history in the community. The purpose of this show was to present students' works and celebrate five senior students whom are graduating from the dance company.

There were about 30 students performed in the showcase. They were all girls and in an age range from 4 to 18 years old. A total of 24 dances were presented during the 90-minute show along with a 10-minute intermission. It included dances of “Dance Craze”, “Restaurant Rush”, “It Never Too Late”, “The Old Soft Shoe”, “More Than a Pretty Girl” and “I Gotcha” ---- just to name the few. In Flat Hannah’s eyes, the “Restaurant Rush”, “I Gotcha”, “It Never Too Late” and “More Than a Pretty Girl” were the highlights of the all. Both Aunt Rose and Mary liked them very much. They said it was interesting that the girls were able to present busy working at a restaurant in such a fun and vivid way via the ballet performance, which was carried out by eight older students. The “I Gotcha” was Flat Hannah's favorite. It was very cute as the five young children at around 4 to 5 years old played catching each others in a park’s playground.

Before the show was ended, the event organizer introduced the five senior students whom are going to graduate from the dance company, including Katie, the girl who performed a solo early in the evening. The introduction was done by playing of a short film. The film showed the students’ photos which were taken from the time they started the ballet lessons to the current, selectively. Among the five graduating students, three were stared at 4 years old and two were at 3! It was so incredible to Flat Hannah that these girls have danced for 14 or more years! When the director of the dance company led all of the students back to the stage to thank the audience and to congratulate the five seniors, the audience, teachers, families and younger students were all standing up and giving long applause to wish the seniors and all of the students the best in their future journeys.

From today’s show, Flat Hannah not only had a good entertainment time, she also learned what the meaning of “hard working” and “being persistence” from these ballet students.
