A sad, but good movie and very good acting. Eliyahu Ben-Shaul Cohen was an Egyptian-born Israeli spy. He is best known for his espionage work in 1961 to 1965 in Syria, where he developed close relationships with the Syrian political and military hierarchy.
Sacha Baron Cohen also did a fantastic job playing Eli Cohen in the 6 part mini series... "The Spy". What blows my mind is how similar both John Shea and Sacha Baron Cohnen sound even though their performances were separated by decades.

Incidentally both actors playing for the Protagonist Eli Cohen and his wife has earlobes fused and not separated. Something that Hitler thought was a Jewish mark. I wonder if it was incidental or a deliberate makeup?
