今天早上聽新聞，波士頓馬拉鬆小觀眾馬丁（Martin Richard）那一天興高和采烈地去給爸爸加油，和跑到終點的爸爸擁抱不久，不幸的事情發生了。。。八歲的他在爆炸中遇難，他五六歲的小妹妹也失去一條腿，媽媽腦部受重傷。。。
我不想放進他們全家的照片了，尊重他們的隱私。他的爸爸懇切請求我們的祈禱。今早在波士頓聖十字主座天主堂(Cathedral of the Holy Cross，Boston)舉辦了追思祈禱會，並邀請很多宗教一起參加(interfaith prayer)，總統也參加了。孩子回歸天父懷抱。紅衣主教誦讀了聖方濟和平祈禱，“主！使我成為你和平的使者：哪裡有仇恨，讓我去廣施友愛，哪裡有侮辱，讓我去散播寬赦；讓我把信心給疑慮的人，把希望給沮喪的人；讓我成為驅逐黑暗的光明， 化除痛苦的喜樂。 主！求你教我: 寧安慰人，不圖人安慰；寧了解人，不求人了解；寧愛人，不計人愛！ 使我深信：給與了才有收獲，原諒了才蒙寬赦，犧牲到死才得永生！”
上麵的照片裏，是馬丁去年五月第一次領聖體時的笑臉。今早聽Immaculate Heart 廣播，播音員的嗓音哽咽了，他說看出來小馬丁手裏拿的是他自己做的 First Communion Banner, 身著白色小西服的馬丁純真快樂得象個小天使。播音員也有這麽大的兒子，正在做條幅準備領聖體。小馬丁上以Pope John Paul II 命名的小學，前天，那裏的人們為孩子燭光守夜。每個孩子學教理畢業，做一個很有意義的條幅，馬丁的banner上飛著代表聖靈的和平鴿，葡萄枝，聖餐麵包，十字架上大大的心，潔白的聖體，Α 到 Ω，從亙古到永遠。
他的小妹妹隻有五六歲的樣子，聽說是個愛跳愛爾蘭舞的小姑娘，大家說，失去了一條腿並不能中斷她跳下去的自由。這個家庭受了重創，我們的心在滴血。想起911時，我們緊緊地把孩子攬在懷中。
以前我曾經避免談論矛盾，政治，時事，宗教。。。開博的時候我跟自己說，不為爭論，不為傳教。然而生活中有鮮花也有荊棘。今天我看到小馬丁閃亮的眼睛，我不想再沉默。
孩子，一路走好，願天使點燈，照亮你的路。請聖母抱抱。
想起去年12月收到鄰居和好友Kathy發來的e-mail, 動情的詩篇by Cameo Smith寫給康州校園遇難小朋友。那時我寫到“這一天，天國多了一排小天使。願愛的記憶, 永生的盼望安撫傷痛的思念的心靈，短暫的生命也散發永恒的光芒。詩歌采取了'twas the night before Christmas的風格，保留在這裏，共勉。”
Twas’ 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven’s gate.
Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
They were filled with such joy, they didn’t know what to say.
They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
“Where are we?” asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
“This is heaven.” Declared a small boy. “We’re spending Christmas at God’s house.”
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
Then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
And in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring,
those children all flew into the arms of their King.
And as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
one small girl turned and looked at jesus’ face.
And as if He could read all the questions she had,
He gently whispered to her, “I’ll take care of mom and dad.”
Then He looked down on earth, the world far below.
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe.
Then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
“let my power and presence re-enter this land!”
“May this country be delivered from the hands of fools.”
“I’m taking back my nation, I’m taking back my schools!”
Then He and the children stood up without a sound.
“Come now my children, let me show you around.”
Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
And I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
“in the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT"
主說：“在黑暗之中，我仍然是光明！”
今天我翻出一年多以前為一位重病的美麗的小小女孩和她的媽媽而譯的歌曲，不知她今天怎樣。。。為她和她的家人祈禱。
今天我把這首歌送給小馬丁的爸爸媽媽哥哥和小妹妹，願媽媽和小妹妹早日站起來，祈禱。也惦記那位波士頓遇難的中國女孩和她的家人。
