最近在看 "Downton Abby"(唐頓莊園), 沒落貴族的英國版紅樓夢。喜歡裏麵的經典台詞, 變化莫測的人生百態。Mary 的高貴冷豔聰明、外冷內熱, 伯爵夫人老太太 Violet 的睿智風趣包容、凡事瞞不過她的超人洞察力, 以及貌似古朽實質頗與時共進, 還有。。。無處不在的英式幽默,差點耽誤了做飯的正事兒 ~~:) 劇裏也多次出現聖誕場景,尤其大小姐 Mary 性感富有磁性的歌聲,似乎要帶我們懷想起往日的時光和舊日的朋友。
昨天叫了兩位小留和陪讀媽媽過來吃個便飯, 因為人不多, 吃得簡單,時間比較充裕。於是白天突發奇想, 翻箱倒櫃擺弄桌子碗筷,給節日應景。

9。白斬雞, 應該是借鑒了寶哥的經典做法:半隻走地雞(另一半跟半隻青木瓜一起煮湯了),沸水裏燙10秒,拿出衝冷水,反複一次,然後沸水煮7分鍾(似沸非沸),關火燜10分鍾,拿出泡冷水裏(或衝涼水放置冰箱)1小時後斬塊。蘸料:蔥薑末,醬油,雞湯,糖各適量。

10。香煎鯇魚。因為當天所有店關門,沒有活魚,提前兩天買了這個,用高度酒、鹽、花椒粉醃製一天,再晾幹一天,用少許油、薑片、辣椒做配料,兩麵小火煎黃。這種魚做熏魚也肯定不錯。

19。巧克力蛋糕, 是雙層的,裏麵有一層草莓醬(女兒用新鮮草莓熬製的),用了一杯高級咖啡(古巴現磨咖啡豆),最費工時的一道,也最受追捧。其實我們逢年過節一般都會去法式烘焙店買蛋糕(我們這兒有太多高品質的法式糕點店,不得不驕傲地說),這次也遇上歇業,隻好自己動手。
