紐約兩位年輕朋友來訪,我又在滿地找吃的了。法餐館是首選,對遠道而來的客人一般盡量法餐伺候。
周一很多不錯的餐館都關門歇息,我訂了家網上評價還不錯的BYOB(可以自帶酒水)的小酒館(Le Quartier Général)。確切地說,應該是一家有魁北克特色的法式餐館,偏現代風味,French / québécois fusion cuisine 。一直拿捏不好什麽是 fusion 的確切含義,反正不是傳統意義上的鄉土菜式,法餐裏還有個說法 Nouvelle cuisine,也許有別於傳統的菜肴,更注重現代健康的口味,創意,還有擺盤的視覺,吸取其它元素,應該屬更現代的美食。
他們采用當地優質上乘的食材,很多都是從附近的農場精選購來的,比如來自 Stanstead的兔子, Gaspor farm 農場的小乳豬,Marieville 的鴨子,等等。加上精致細膩的口味,展示了大廚精湛的手藝。
這是家溫馨舒適的小館,坐落在不起眼的居民區小街道,低調樸素。它擁有開放式廚房,小小的空間人氣頗旺,估計也就能容納2-30來人,典型的拉丁區一帶的小酒館,來的大都是追逐美食的吃貨或是回頭客。

強烈推薦它家法餐四道的套餐,從湯(或色拉)到開胃頭盤到主菜到甜點,都非常精美可口。主菜價格加14刀( the table d'hôte, the set menu that includes Soup/salard, Appetizer, Main dish/entree, Dessert for an extra +$14 charge to the price of the entree),讓你從頭到尾慢慢享受這些天然的美味, 是性價比很高的一頓法式大餐。可惜沒人陪我喝酒,如果能配上一瓶自帶的紅酒,那更是饕餮美食的完美體驗了。好像他們沒有開瓶費的。
2。黑板上有他們手寫的法文菜單,我雖然不懂法文,不過菜單還是沒問題的~~:)

我們六點半準時到了,小小的房間塞得滿滿的。記得一定要定位哦,他們每晚每桌隻供應兩個時間段:六點和九點,我們必須在九點前吃完。

通常法餐我都是享受兩道 courses ,今天開戒吃四道,就不敢再多添一道了。
第一道:carrot soup, 口感滋潤飽滿,恰到好處的感覺,真是沁人心脾的好味道。

第三道:主菜 (英語叫 Main Dish/Course, 法文叫 Plats principaux )
我要了兔肉,兔腿肉裏塞了香腸(chorizo sausage)肉碎,做得精致,口感也好。第一次在法餐館吃兔肉,兔肉沒有 fat, 也許要求再嫩些的難度有些大。

12。Chocolate Marquise (Marquise au chocolat):有點象巧克力慕斯蛋糕,用的dark chocolate, 裏麵很 cruncy, 底層鋪了脆薄餅。很好吃。

和年青人聊天本身就是一種享受,特別又是兩位青年才俊(都是名校畢業生,而且事業都還很不錯哦),更是感覺輕鬆愉悅,讓我真切感受到青春的活力和春天的氣息。
食物簡單口味貌似清淡回味卻是豐腴鮮香,食材絕對是 top notch (心裏一直向往著: 什麽時候在異國他鄉也能品味到咱們中華菜式裏類似的簡單美味, 要求真的很高嗎?), 服務也很不錯。
蒙城類似的小酒館不少,享受美食,這裏是值得光顧的好地方。
