Yumi squatting at the crossing of hall
I could barely squeeze through
when she normally gets startled away
gave me a confused by calmer look
as if she is questioning
why is everyone so busy in the morning
one after another
just leave me here
not really
still a little one in bed
where she could sleep freely without threat
why they sometime all run away from home
send me to hotel or hell that i didn’t even want to eat or drink
why sometimes they argue with each other
why then they hug each other like they hug me
what’s the worst part
they all could go out and back in
but won’t allow me to get out
chasing the squirrels or birds or grasshoppers
why could i find my kitty friends
and why could i speak
so i might be able to argue my way out
