The Office for Undergraduate Research in Science manages the NSERC undergraduate student research award program, coordinates some of the Faculty's research project courses, hosts an undergraduate student research conference each fall, and organizes other activities such as meet-the-profs lunches–all of this so that more students participate in laboratory research and research projects from the start of their degree. Under the Science Internship Program, McGill Science students can participate in a 4, 8, 12, or 16 month internship to gain hands-on opportunities and practical work experience before graduation.
