NAZ close at 1779.01 on 10/14 ====> QLD = 37.65 Half a month later..after market went through some up and down... NAZ close at 1780.12 on 11/4 ====> QLD = 36.93 The almost same NAZ closing, you just hold and your QLD lost 1.9%!
Based on the past 180-day\'s historical data: When the market is up, QLD is 2.23866 to SP500 index When the market is down, QLD is 2.308423 to SP500 index Overall, the ratio of UP ratio/DOWN ratio = 0.9698.
This means the ETF company keeps taking your money/profit through out market\'s up and down!
QQQQ doesn\'t have this problem. QQQQ at 33.61 on 10/14, at 33.75 on 11/4.
Any other explanations?
