This drama film “Skellig”, was directed by Annabel Jankel and stars Tim Roth and Kelly Macdonald.
The screenplay by Irena Brignull is based on the 1998 novel of the same name by David Almond.
A young boy, Michael, moves into an old house which belonged to an old man who died.
Michael is forbidden by his father to enter a dangerously overloaded shed. Meanwhile,
his mother is often at the hospital spending time with Michael’s prematurely born baby sister.
One day Michael enters the shed and finds a strange human-like creature called Skellig
who seems to have almost wasted away……
