《Galaxies》
Never is the distance
between me and you.
To comprehend it is to surrender to the truth
that only Love can touch the void---
the abyss between the opening of flowers
and the darkness of fears
for we are small partakers, invisible
elements in the galaxy called Love.
We are invisible
like the soul is invisible, all-encompassing
like the soul encompasses all.
This moment
(how can I describe it to you?)
is all there is to it.
When did it begin? When will it end?
Will we all be consumed by dreaming?
What is a life-time, a day, a world?
A word. Say it, you’ll know
how far we have traveled
yet still further to arrive.
We are stardust.
Touch the silence.
Speak the wordless.
When you see nothing
there is everything. Deathless
because Life is just about to begin
when light is still arriving from a place
we have never heard of before.
Happiness is to know that there is
a galaxy in a drop of ink
a galaxy in a drop of tear
a galaxy in a drop of blood
a galaxy in a drop of sweat
a galaxy in a drop of semen
a galaxy in a leaf
a galaxy in a hug
a galaxy in a kiss
a galaxy in a jump, a leap, a petal, a sand
a galaxy in your eyes
a galaxy in a baby’s first cry
a galaxy in a whisper between burning ears
a galaxy in a word
a galaxy in a stroke sweeping over empty air
before the tip of an ink-pregnant brush
touches the virgin land of the rice paper
A poem
a galaxy, which is nothing
& everything, from my mouth
to your night across the emptiness.
The inwardness of partaking
is to share the cupful
with every living thing.
My little truth.
Forever is the secret
between you and me.
