Cooking Instructions
Frying Slices (all sizes thickness) 1.Heat skillet to 350 degrees F on medium high. 2.Add 2 Tblsp. cooking oil to reduce sticking (optinonal). 3.Sear ham by frying vigorously for 2 minutes on each side.
Basic Water Cooking (whole, half, portions, shanks). 1.Place ham in roast (for oven) or pan (for stove top). 2.Fill within 2 inches of top of roaster or pan with water. 3.Insert meat thermometer into thickest area of ham and simmer at 250 degeree F until internal temp. reaches 158 degrees F.
Bean Meat (diced) 1.Follow steps 1 and 2 for frying. 2.Sear ham and fat chunks for 4 min. Break chunks apart and stir frequently to insure even cooking. |
