You are absolutely right. It should not be attempted by individuals and that's why I have only gone with the pros. When it comes to mushrooms, it is really complicated. For example, one type of mushroom shown to us during a field mushroom picking trip was THE delicacy to die for (not die of) when it's young. But it gets close to the time to reproduce, it becomes the most poisonous mushroom of all and kills in a instant. I just found them quite fascinating (and so does my stomach)!
