You did have a very wonderful and detail description for your trip and it does helpful.

In your first day of the trip, you started from LA and visited Mariposa Grove and Glacier Point and back to your distant hotel. It looks a very tuff day.

I have checked the all kinds of lodges in the valley; they are not available in the coming memorial weekend.

Based on your experiences, where is the better place to stay in the first night: near the South Entrance or East Entrance?
