Clean bill of health

in British English
1. a good report of one's physical condition
2. a favourable account of a person's or a company's financial position

in American English
1.  a bill of health certifying the absence of infectious disease
2.  a good record; favorable report, as after an investigation

This idiom is from a 17th-century practice of requiring ships to produce a medical document (== bill) attesting to the absence of infectious disease on board before landing.

-----------------------------------

What is the most important thing in one's life?  Love? Families and friends? Money? Fame? ... Yes, they are (may not be fame :-) of importance to us, but I think the most important thing is Health.

Without health, one can't really enjoy life, never mind love and care for others, and the money won't mount much of use either.  As for fame, what exactly is it?  A fancy title?  Spot of light? Nah, I don't and never will have a need for it.

So I'm very happy to receive a clean bill of health from family doctor recently after annual checkup and have passed all the tests with flying colours加油

Maowi's the cat also has an annual checkup coming.  He has had a few health scares past year, hopefully all's well that ends well.

Oh, don't forget mental health.  Our brains have to be used constantly to stay sharp and keep one's marbles in good shape鬼臉

Cheers!
