我給太太申請綠卡遇到一個問題：我們的marriage license上麵她隨了我的姓，有一個new name，但由於她身份已經過期，無法在DMV、SSN等部門更新證件改名字了；她中國護照也快過期了，領事館表示需要更換國內身份證和戶口本的名字才可以更新護照名字....
請問8老師：1、I485等表格上的名字要填marriage license上麵的新名字嗎（原來名字作為曾用名）？-Yes. Use the new name and also provide the old name as the Used Name (曾用名) for all of the application forms.
2、她提交的所有證件都是曾用名，並且在美國更新不了新名字直到變成綠卡pending狀態或者拿到EAD卡，這種情況是否影響綠卡申請？（比如要求補交證明新名字的證件，但她沒有....）
-Just provide all of these documents needed for the immigration, then provide the name change proof from the court or judge who handled the name change.
