小孩6歲，在上海領事館申請B-2，需要麵試。這麽小的小孩，回答簽證官的提問會有困難的。
請教的問題：小孩申請B-2簽證，媽媽能否允許陪同進入領事館，並代小孩回答麵試問題嗎？
-I think so. The mother needs to bring her passport to enter the US Consulate. If the father does not go with the child (e.g. the father is in US), then the father also needs to write a letter (consent statement) indicating the father agrees the mother to accompany the child to US and also provide a copy of his identification (i.e. passport and green card /US citizenship certificate).

在領事館官網隻看到“參加麵談的申請人必須--攜帶麵談確認信到領事館。任何麵談預見信上沒有注明名字的人士將不被允許進入領事館。”
隻有“14歲以下的未成年移民簽證申請人必須由一位成人陪同，此成人可以是父母親--”。我們給小孩申請的是B-2簽證，不是移民簽證。
